PCAH Cuban Delegation Artist Joshua Bell and Chamber Orchestra of Havana Perform at Lincoln CenterGrammy Award–winning violinist Joshua Bell performed with the Chamber Orchestra of Havana at Lincoln Center. This was one of several such cultural exchanges resulting from PCAH Cuba Delegation visit in April and will be broadcast on 16 December as part of PBS' Lincoln Center Live.
Celebrating its 40th anniversary, PBS’  Live From Lincoln Center will broadcast Joshua Bell: Seasons of Cuba on 16 December 2017. Last April, Bell was an artist member of the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities Cultural Delegation to Cuba, the first official government-to-government bilateral initiative in the wake of President Obama’s trip to Cuba. The Grammy Award–winning violinist performed with the Chamber Orchestra of Havana, which includes some of Cuba’s most accomplished classical musicians. The PCAH invited members of the Cuba Delegation to attend the recording of this performance, which had a range of selections from Vivaldi classics to Piazzolla tangos. This was one of several cultural exchanges and performances that grew out of the Cuba delegation visit, creating opportunities for Cuban and American artists to share their work with audiences in the U.S. and Cuba.
